To all our valued propane customers —

Cato Gas & Oil has been serving the propane and fuel oil needs of the residential community for more than 60 years. However, in these challenging times, I wanted to reach out and share with our customers the extra precautions we’re taking to ensure your safety during the COVID-19 crisis.

As a federally designated provider of an “essential product” we are thankfully able to continue serving our customers with all of their heating, cooking and other fueling needs.

While we have made the difficult decision to close our retail showroom, you will find representatives on site every weekday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in order to assist our customers with filling propane tanks, taking orders, and paying their bills.

Additionally, we are carefully adhering to all federal, state and local guidelines in the delivery of our product, including:

• We’ve staggered the start times for propane delivery drivers in response to customer concerns over multiple employees being in one location. 

• We’re following all CDC hygiene guidelines to ensure that trucks, handheld devices and other equipment are properly cleaned throughout the day and employees are following best hygiene practices.

• We are strictly following all recommended social distancing guidelines to protect our valued customers.

• In an abundance of caution, we have eliminated the need for customers to sign delivery documents using our handheld devices. 

• All employees in our corporate offices are following our work-from-home policy. 

• Lastly, we’re staying on top of the latest industry best practices to make sure our customers continue to enjoy a seamless propane and heating oil supply.

I hope you can see that each and every member of the Cato Gas & Oil team is committed to doing all we can to slow the spread of this virus and help our customers through these trying times.
